Furthur Productions are an events and arts collective that strive to create ideal and innovative environments for the appreciation of quality live music. With a strong bias towards original music and arts projects with minimal environmental impact, we work to our own high standards in event management.
Furthur consists of five core members. Joel, Sam, Dawson, Liam and Kirby. Although our events would not come together without long standing collaborations with friends, musicians, artists, and industry professionals.
Furthur's initial inspiration spawned from the experimental happenings pioneered by Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters. This in conjunction with our love of the bygone sounds of the Canterbury scene from the late 1960’s/early 1970's, and the free party movement fuse a collective ethos of musical and aesthetic direction. We explore these early ventures into psychedelia with a contemporary approach, creating music events with immersive décor and visual installations.
Furthur Productions have hosted the Furthur Field at Lounge on the Farm Festival for three years, establishing ourselves as a major part of this ever growing festival. We have also held a number of events on a farm in Kent; for these events we spend up to three weeks transforming a 14th century thatched barn into a distinctive party venue. The Furthur barn parties have given us the opportunity to push ourselves technically and creatively, earning us a strong following and some great relationships with bands. We also run an annual event for the Canterbury Festival, work regularly with several venues in London and the South East of England, and host areas at other companies' events.
